MacPilot is a program made for the osX machine. It opens up different functions for your applications for your mac. It also allows for customization of the desktop and the different features. Using MacPilot, I changed some of the start up items for my machine. The dock appearance, the ichat applications, the function of the camera, how applications open and close, and also using the dock in general are some things that I was able to do with it.

On another note, I downloaded the new Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete movie last night. It’s an HD copy, so it’s pretty hard to watch it using VLC player without any extensions, but the extra scenes that I saw made it completely worth it. The final battle between Cloud and Sephiroth was an amazing battle. I like how it showed the different Omnislash’s. I noticed that the first variant, the Omnislash that he uses in Final Fantasy VII, was completely blocked by Sephiroth. And was I the only one who cried during the Zack scenes? It went completely back to Crisis Core. It was amazing. Those new scenes meshed completely well with the movie. Man I love Zacks character. Remembering it makes me very nostalgic to the game itself. I loved Crisis Core, and will always remember it as one of the best games for the PSP ever. It was the reason that I got a hacked PSP in the first place.

Yeah…..at the moment i’m waiting on itunes to generate my genius playlist, it’s currently loading the data for genius to activate….

I haven’t updated much because nothing indeed has been happening that required me to update. Besides the new manga coming out this week, and how epic Bleach was because of how bad-ass the vaizards are, and of course reading a new manga called oresama-teacher, nothing else has happened.

Oh yeah, I got my AP scores back this week. I got a 2 on Micro Economics (expected) and a 2 on Spanish (also expected). On English Literature however, I got a 3. Which, in the school I am going to, gave me 6 credits for English . ALso, because my school was involved in the REACH program, I just won $300 for getting a 3. Am I happy or what? Plus I get another $200 from a stipend I recieved from being part of the Gilder Lehrman Economics Program.

I guess it was more of an update than I expected?

Anyway, besides getting slightly annoyed at work, some funny things happened. Like at Burger King for example. I was going to Luis’ house after work today, but he hate already so I needed to find some food for myself. Well, while while waiting for my food to be given to me, a beautiful gorgeous woman walks inside. She was so beautiful, she completely blew everyone’s mind away. Everyone was staring at her. Well, she was standing next to me, and noticed the insane pimple I have on my face. She starts asking me what I use for my face, and things that I could use. We strike up an interesting conversation about similar acne products that has failed us both, and she told me she uses something that her dermotologist recomended. She gives me her number, and says to call her later on to get the name of the medication. Now, I replay this scenario over my head a few times, and I tell Luis of course, and I wonder….Did I just score?

Manga day was today. No One Piece unfortunately because its on hiatus for the writer to get some more ideas. Bakuman was interesting, I like Miho lol. And man don’t get me started on Mysterious Girlfriend X, I LOVE Urabe. She’s soooo cute. Like wow.

And now for the final news of the night. Yesturday I put money on my debit card, so I wanted to upgrade my Peek to the Peek Pronto. Unfortunately, it will cost me 40 dollars extra to upgrade it, not to mention the 19.99 i’m going to have to pay for the monthly service. I of course don’t want to spend $60 this month. So I ordered the cable, which cost me $14.99, and I will be doing the upgrade myself. Now all I have to do is wait for the cable to be shipped to m job. Which will hopefully be happening soon.

On a side note before I leave, I wanted to make it known I had this blog window open for the past 3 hours, unfortunately I was watching Definately Maybe, and got side-tracted. Mega side-tracted. I really enjoyed the movie, then again, I really enjoy all romantic comedies. I remember “You got mail” and “Love Actually”. Man I love these movies

Eh I don’t know. I registered my card with paypal and found out they charge you a dollar for registration. Whatever. I’m listening to Linkin Park’s song New Divide because I feel the beat is catchy and also because it’s a song with alot of screaming lol. I want to see Bruno, my friends are thinking of going Sunday, and I really want to go. So I guess it’s a date lol. It will also be the last day I can see one of my friends before he heads out to college. I know, another one leaving. Well, really he’s the third one, because the second one left to Florida for Florida International University. I miss my friends, we were really close Senior Year of high school. Going out every week to china town, going to the movies and coming home late, hanging out at my house just playing 360 and searching the interwebz for downloadable games. Rappelz was one of the games we played for days on end without stopping last summer. Epic

Definitely going to miss the class of ’09, even though that’s very cliche’ of a graduating senior to say :p.

I also got light of Google’s plan to make a new Operating System based on Chrome. I can pretty much say I saw this coming these last 2 years. Google Docs, Picasa, and Calender are all applications suitable to be used instead of actual desktop applications. Google Gears integration allows you to use these applications offline, without having to be connected to any servers. Running on the Python environment, all Google really has to do is peice together a GUI and integrate it solely with Gears and make a “cloud” OS. A Cloud OS runs all of the basic functions of the OS, such as Office Software, Picture Editing, and Music Playing through Web Application. Gears of course fixes the issues with having to be connected to the internet. I mean, I knew there was a reason they allowed you to have GMAIL downloaded to your computer and used through Google Gears so that you could have your email on you even if you did not have a connection. Looking towards business users I would say. And of course Picasa has some pretty neat features capable to running on par with PhotoShop, although not as good quite yet. Google Docs is an amazing web application, running at the same if not better than Microsoft Office or OpenOffice.org. The ability to integrate your gmail with google docs and running everything simultaneously without having to close, save and re=open, just a matter of importing is something that Google is really looking to make happen. Not to mention the launch of Google-WAVE. WAVE, I believe, is the future of communications on the web. It features real-time, IM’esque conversations which can be edited, tagged, highlighted, maintained at real time. If the person you are writing to is already online, they can see what you are editing, who you are adding, and even make comments and link posts you’ve written before to others. It’s simple and easy to use.

Something i’ve also noticed recently is the trend of Gaming Consoles to now start moving to online downloading rather than buying a physical game. Consoles such as the Wii, X-Box 360, and PS3 now offer download only games. These games are available only through the online download service from that console. Now, my friends and I believe that the companies are doing this in an effort to stop gaming piracy, however I highly doubt that ways to bypass security codes will not be found on these devices. I mean, come on look at the PSP. You can easily find the game from the online server and patch it to play on any hacked PSP. Software updates are the only hopes for these companies to keep piracy at bay, and even still the very next day if not the next hour at release it is hacked and cracked. I can remember when PSP Firmware 3.71 was released and the next hour Dark-Alex released 3.71 m33 and the next day released m33-2. I mean come on, there is no way to stop the hacking of games and the piracy. Demonoid, thepiratebay, and pspiso are all forums and sites that provide downloads of games and other content, and they have a very intelectual and helpfull community that will gaurantee a normal person the tools necessary to hack and crack systems. I don’t think that online only downloads will hinder gameing piracy, if not it will greatly improve it. I used to have an ipod Touch, and knew everything about hacking it. I remember the APP Store, and I remember people on the ifortner forums talking about being able to make an application similar to the app store where you can download the same app store applications, but of course for free. And low and behold, we have appshare and appulous. I don’t know which one shut down, I know one of them did, but its a working app store with no need to buy the apps. This is the future of piracy people. Learn from Apple’s mistakes!!! You know, I am a gamer. I know how hard developers work to make games, how many hours coders have to spend perfecting coding of games, and how challenging it is to determine how to make a game appeal to customers. I buy games, games of course that I enjoy. Games that I believe deserve it. Support the developers!

Eh, sorry for the ongoing rant today, but I just feel that today was a big breakthrough for me. In case you did not know, I really love Google and what they stand for. They have something involved in everything, and if they can’t beat something with their own inovation, they buy it (youtube and video-google). Google might very much, own the world in the near future. I mean come one, what don’t they have? I wouldn’t be surprised if Barrack Obama is really a google BOT. Regardless of jokes I may make, you cannot deny that Google really is making itself known. I can probably see google buying twitter pretty soon, if not making their own micro-blogging site. I mean, in terms of social netowrking they DO have orkut, although in America, it is not really used much. But then again, in this blog mainly, I am just digressing on tech. Man I love this

Other than that mishappening, the day went on without a hitch. I was able to fix my friends PSP, he upgraded it like an idiot, but it was okay because it gave me an opportunity to fix mine which had previously been damaged. I spent most of the time that I was not at work playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Very, very good game indeed. At least until I got killed by a gilasaur, in which the game is now off and was very close to becoming “one” with the wall in my room.

A friend of mine has been having some difficulties lately. She hasn’t been doing well, and I fear that she may do something to herself in the near future. I love my friend dearly, so i’m scared of what might happen. I know she needs professional help, but I don’t know if that will help her much. And the thing is, sometimes I don’t understand why she feels the way she does. She’s the smartest girl I know, valedictorian at her school and full honors to the college she wants to go to. She has the hottest girlfriend a person could think about (yes she’s gay), and at the same time amazing friends who would do anything for her. Not to mention kick ass parents at home. I don’t know.

My best friend Jovany went away for a summer program to the college he is going to. He’s gone for 5 weeks before he comes back for 2 weeks then off again for the semester. And of course I had to do something to mess it up. I was experimenting with new spoofers and hacks on facebook and used his profile because at the program that he is at, he really won’t use the internet very often. Somehow he gained light on what I did and is questioning our friendship. Like, he’s pretty mad. I’m trying to give him space, but theres a part of me that really doesn’t care because I know it is very unlikely that we are still going to be friends anyway after college really starts. Like, I see him getting new friends and replacing me. But it’s okay, because I also see myself doing the same thing, and i’ve been doing it for the past few months so that when he really did leave it wasn’t going to make me feel that bad. And unfortunately it works. I completely forgot about him this whole day until now (the facebook incident happened last night). Does this make me a bad person?

To describe myself, I can generally say I would be a loner in High School. I like anime and manga, enjoy tech, and enjoy journalism. I am a self described “techie”. I help everyone I can with computers, cell phones, and video game consoles. Generally people come to me when they have a problem in any of those fields. I have become proficient in many things involving the Ipod touch and the psp. I am still learning the hacking ways of the wii via the twilight exploit, and also the 360 via a hardware modification. I am looking generally for a website that I can go to that would give me up to date news on topics that I care about. I am slightly involved in the geeks.pirillo website, and I of course have a twitter account. I live on my emails and email many people everyday. I see email to be more efficient that text messaging, and prefer it generally than actually making a phone call (unless of course you are a valued friend of mine and I wish to contact you as soon as possible).

I work part time right now, although now that it is the summer I may work full time, at a Pharmacy. My description says “Stock Clerk” although I see myself as much more of value than just a “stock clerk”. I do deliveries, work on the register when the front girls are not in (which happens more than half the time I am actually at work), stock the shelves, clear the order, check for expirations, clean, and from time to time fill prescription. Also the fact that I am of Latino heritage provides me with the skill of being able to communicate with customers in Spanish. I am part Puerto-Rican, Dominican, Mexican, and Spanish. Yes that is Spanish from Spain. I have a very intricate mix inside of me. I enjoy writing, and often wrote for my school newspaper, although most if not all of the articles I wrote about in my senior year were based on technology. My first year as a reporter I wrote about the school teams and school spirit (how cliche’).

I wish to accomplish many things, mainly to live a comfortable life and work in an office. I really hope this “recession” that we are in ends soon, because I really want to have a carreer in Journalism, although a carreer in something with criminology doesn’t hurt either. I look upto Jon Retinger, Chris Pirillo, and believe it or not Ty Moss because they are making money doing what they love to do. They cover anything involving tech, although Ty involves more with the Ipod and Iphone. Kudos to him! Cnet is something I really live on. RSS feeds are second nature to me, simply because I have it connected with my email and I enjoy reading new posts on the go. I have a palm centro unfortunately with no data plan on it because the cost of the data on my carrier is horribly high. Therefore to fix this I also have a Peek. The flat rate of $20 a month for unlimited Texts and Email (something I live on) is something I can’t escape.
